(New York, NY) - “The Makings,” the duo’s first album together, will be released worldwide on March 15, 2019.

When two such skillful musicians get together to create, it’s certainly a treat for the listener.
As the title “The Makings” implies, it’s an album full of emotions, talent and untold stories.
A dynamic collection of songs; new and old jazz standards, originals and a cover of Curtis
Mayfields “The Makings of You” - it will keep the listener’s attention from the opening “Chan’s Song” (Herbie Hancock/Stevie Wonder) to the last “Goodbye” (Gordon Jenkins).

Emma Larsson has been a name on the New York jazz scene since 2010 when she relocated from Scandinavia.
Xavier Davis has been on the international jazz scene since he first hit the stage with Betty Carter in the early ‘90s, and is a sought after pianist in many different contexts from duos to big bands.

The musical connection between the two is evident; a feeling of spontaneity draws the listener into the moment and the music becomes contagious. In their own words:
“We want to make music that makes people feel.“

The album was pre-released during a successful tour in Japan in August 2018 and now it’s finally time for the rest of the world to enjoy
